Lawn care could have been better and so many bugs!

The family has always enjoyed camping at Howell. Area is clean, and the people are nice.

We had such a good time and experience at this campground. The campground was clean, had so many pretty large trees throughout the whole campground that provided lots of shade. Some of the sites give you views to the water by the dam. The sites are large. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were great. Good water pressure and nice warm water to shower. They have access to a very nice trail where you can walk, jog, ride bikes, skateboards, walk your dogs, etc. It's close to the town of Pella and the very large and pretty Red Rock Lake. This is definitely one of our favorite campgrounds. We will be back.

wish there was a way down to river

The park attendants were very friendly and helpful. I was lucky enough to have a great spot near the river. Lots of people out walking in the rec trail, even though temps were kind of cool. Only complaint and it is nobody's fault is that there is almost no cell signal where I was. (US Cellular)
