Not enough water hydrants. Should have at least one in every loop if not more. SKUNKS! Get a handle on them. We saw multiple walking around during early evening when campers are still outside. Not to mention invading camp sights.

For being the largest camp ground at Lake Rathbun it is very spacious, lots of room for kids to run around and very pet friendly. There are a lot of spots close to the water front and and the shore line is very clean so its was a nice spot to take the kids so they could play in the waves coming off of the lake. Nice play grounds near by along with a beach not to far down the road, shower and bathroom houses are clean and well located on the grounds. We have camped at other locations around Rathbun and Island View is by far our favorite.

We are people that go too Rathbun Island view all the time and this year was the worst yet!! We had tried to cancel half of are camping because they had scheduled a surgery and there was no one I could talk too at the sign in shed and tried to contact Recreation.gov and all you get is recordings and tried too email and they just kept sending me emails saying the same thing to log on account and do it that way so I tried that and it didnt work so go got angry I gave up! All you excuses was because of covid and that is just BS just and excuse too get double the money! Very upset and a lot of other people are too just not right!!
