We were there over Labor Day weekend. Last year when we were there, there was activities planned, like a lighted golf cart parade and a scavenger hunt for the kids. this year there was nothing planned and the kids did miss them. Hopefully next year there will be something planned for the kids. They really enjoyed the scavenger hunt.

everything was great, my only complaint is the bathrooms and showers could be a whole lot cleaner. All of them.

The pit toilets in M loop were kept clean and the showers were clean. It would be nice if the pit toilets were upgraded to flush toilets.The presence of park rangers was nice to see. They were very knowledgeable and helpful.

Perfect spot for a group. Nice flush bathrooms. Large sites. The shelter was perfect for group gatherings. Large grassy area for kids to play. Access to a beach area however it was at flood stage this trip! Our electricity went out on one site any they fixed it right away. We didn't like the 6:30 a.m. mowing Monday morning but that was the only bad thing. We were able to dock our boats nearby!

Overall good, bathrooms were not cleaned as well. Otherwise fine.

Some of the trees could be trimmed up higher, in the H section. Especially over where the campers are parked in the site. Everything else is great.

The grass needs to be cut more than once a week, and the tall grass needs to be cut down near the water so people that camp next to it can see the water and to keep the ticks down. when we were camping, we were fighting the ticks most of the time we are camping. the tall grass is obstructing the view of the lake. instead of island view it should be GRASS VIEW.

Enjoyed our stay at Island View. The sites were spacious and easy to back in. The view was great other than a lot of growth between the lake and campsites which blocked the view. The shower/bathroom facility was as nice but there was only 1 for the whole area. The bathrooms were ok but soaps all empty. The nonflushable north bathroom in R section was totally disgusting !

They do need to fill water holes in gravel at camp sites.

We have been camping at Islandview for many years, its one of our favorite campgrounds. The last few years there has been swarms of little bugs that are annoying as heck! Its the only lake where I have seen them. They ruin our outside time.

Overall we love this campground. I didnt rate it higher than 3 stars because we have slowly seen the campground go downhill. This year the bath house was disgusting. We also experienced fireworks within the campground which would not be a problem had we not specifically gone to get our dogs away from the firework noise. This is our 5th year traveling down and the first year weve experienced the fireworks and the unclean bath house.

We have camped here in past years and enjoy spending time with family. Because my husband and I had to leave early, a nephew asked if he could park his electric truck on our spot to recharge. We left on Friday July 4th but had paid up through Sunday. My husband gave him the car tag and we left.We learned later that this was against the rules and our nephew had to move his truck.I don't understand why this was a violation. We had paid for the site and basically turned it over to him.This soured our experience.

Beautiful campgrounds, nice and flat and big sites. Beware of speed bumps they just put in, they are extremely hard on campers and boats.

Our vampire A 09 had a huge water induced rut when entering the site. It needs to be repaired. The campground was not a peaceful campground that we hoped for. It was crazy with all the campers boats and toys.

We had a wonderful gathering, plenty of space, perfect grilling, clean bathrooms. The only thing I would ask is that the grass be mowed, it was really deep. When a shelter is rented it should be mowed up and ready.

Very beautiful campground and very quiet. I would recommend this to anyone.

Good roomy sites! Our particular site didnt have shade but most others do. Great view of the lake! Will definitely camp there again!

Rathbun is one of our favorite places to go. Glad to see the showerhouse being renovated. That will be a great improvement. We like to go into Centerville - there are many good restaurants around the square.

It is a beautiful campground , well cared for. Captain's Landing and the Marina are both great places to eat as well as Centerville has some nice places to eat.

Bathrooms were clean, two things I would like to see changed, add hand sanitizers to the small bathrooms and add doors on the showers in the large shower house that don't have any

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
