The campground is nice. Generally giving descent privacy.I did have trouble with my reservation with the campsite I had reserved being taken by someone else. The campsite sign put up on the site started before mine and ended after. I don't know if the campsite host made a mistake and did not see my reservation or not. I was in a different site the night before and pad for that on site. i talked to the camp host 2 times and asked to just exchange it to the new location. Seemed like a problem. I did not want to have my 2 week camping road trip through Montana and Wyoming to be scarred by a hassle over a campsite so I just left.

One of our favorite campgrounds in the Sierras. Tons of great hiking, fishing and exploring nearby and a quick drive to Mammoth make this a great place to stay. Bathrooms are clean and the camp hosts year after year are friendly and keep the campground in great shape.

Love this camp ground. Very clean bathrooms and the host are very very pleasant. IMHO #73 is the best, stayed at this site over the past 5 years. Prefect if you have solar. unobstructed views of the north and south sky for Starlink and dish. Just saying.

The ranger was very polite. The camp was clean. The people around were friendly as usual. Spot 73 is a bit close to 74 though, maybe put some bushes in between. I had a wonderful trip except that they don't seem to be stocking much fish in the campgrounds (Tuff, Iris and French). But it was a great getaway with God. May you be blessed in Jesus name.

This is a beautiful campsite, with WiFi, allowing you to check in and out with friends and family as you come and go throughout the day. If you stay here you have access to Mammoth and Bishop, within 30 minutes. You may also want to visit The White Mountains, the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, which is about 90 minutes away, out of Big Pine. You'll be able to walk past the oldest living tree in the world: 4,760 years old.

Great campsite! The bathrooms were so well maintained. I think they were cleaned like 3-4x a day while we were there. Highly recommend this site. Weather in the area was hard to predict. Even though we would get 80-90% chance of rain, it was pretty light and transient. I think it is the nature of the valley. There were high winds one day, so make sure to use good tent pegs to hold down the fly and tent.

Camps sites are nicely spaced so you dont see your neighbors too much. Love the river and river sounds. Camp hosts are friendly and eager to be helpful. There is internet so just put your device away if you are trying to get away and have a break.

If it wasn't for the tainted water supply (E.coli) it would have been perfect. It's to bad they didn't warn us in advance by email. But the camp hosts were great as always and the restrooms were very clean. I've been coming here since the early 90's a will continue to do so.
