Helpful and aware camp hosts. Clean, beautiful location with a cold clear stream you can take a dip in.

What an amazing Campground with stunning Views of the Mountains. Very well maintained Campsides! The only thing I would improve is the lockint mechanisms of the restrooms, they could use some maintenance.

Unbelievable 2-day trip. We lucked out on the weather window for a successful end of October summit. Trail was pristine. Great time all around!

Spot 33 was paved large enough to fit our 19ft campervan and small vehicle in front. Site had a slight downhill slope toward the creek but large 6 levelers were enough to level the van. Overall site was very clean and close to the restrooms.

The campground was beautifully maintained and well designed for quick and convenient access to facilities. The park rangers was welcoming and made sure to introduce themselves and answer any questions. I would love to stay here again.

Arrived and my site had been given away by the camp hosts with a written note by the camp hosts. Knocked on the door of the camp host's camper to try to rectify the situation with no answer. Left my phone number on the wind shield with no call back. Will never stay here again. Incredibly disappointed

As always, we love this campground. This year was exceptional because of the host. Emily and Bob were amazing. They are engaging and interact with the campers. My children loved seeing them and would always make a point to stop by. Thank you Emily and Bob for a wonderful experience.

I was glad that the WAG bags were readily available at the Whitney Trail head.I am so grateful to janitorial staff who clean the restrooms of the Whitney trail head and Whitney Portal as clean as it can be. Thank you!

The Campground Host was VERY helpful, and the bathrooms and site were VERY clean, and those things make a BIG DIFFERENCE in having an enjoyable stay. I wish all campgrounds were this with it!

we've always enjoyed our experience at Whitney Portal. We were there on the last available night and the store had closed already which wasn't unexpected but a little inconvenient.

Such an amazing experience. I stayed at the Whitney Portal for 2 night before climbing the mountaineer's route of Whitney in order to acclimatize. The camp site was perfect. It had a large area for my tent, a picnic table, and a fire pit. The bathrooms were clean and they also sold firewood. Lastly, there was a stream running through the middle so it was very peaceful and great place to get some water if you need it. I will definitely be back here when I get the chance.
