Our campsite was clean and spacious. Situated just below Lone Pine Peak, we got stunning sunrise and sunset views from the convenience of our picnic benches. Toilets were also clean considering.

I love that Lone Pine is right on the river and you're able to hear the rushing water all day and night. It's best if you can get a spot on the river side to have direct access to it. The campground seemed to be very well maintained and the toilets were clean. It tends to get very hot in that area during the summer and not all the sites have trees to provide adequate shade, but most do. I really like that it is a short drive to Whitney Portal (where it's a lot cooler), and having access to all the trails up there.
