Description says no water but there was water there, however camp host did not know if it was potable or not, simply said "well, I drink it." Close to Whitney Portal, not busy when we camped in late august which made it a great spot for before and after hiking Whitney.

Beautiful views but neighbors are loud into the night and none of the toilets lock (tho they are clean) so someone could walk in on you at any moment

Campground location is fantastic due to the scenery and access to many surrounding sites. However, the campground is in dire need of maintenance of RV and trailer sites due to crumbling asphalt and narrow access. Vault toilets, tables and fire rings are well maintained and are in good shape.

Just barely fit with our Lance 1995 but was stunningly beautiful and relaxing. Be sure to visit Japanese WW2 internment camp just 10 miles north of the park.

I booked space #38 for our 25 foot trailer. It is a lovely site, but unfortunately, because of the slant of the space, a gate and gate posts on the road above, and a berm to one side, it was impossible to back the trailer in. Luckily for us, the space across, #37 was available, and we camped there. The campground is a gem, and we are so glad we were able to relocate our space.
We drove to Horseshoe Meadows the first day for a lovely, solitary hike. The next day we hiked about a mile up the trail that leads to the portal, as well as explored Lone Pine Creek which borders the campground. Also, the restrooms are A++!!
