We have stayed at Lower Gray Meadows several times and always find it to be a peaceful experience with the amazing views, the quiet campers and the stream rushing over boulders. We will be back.

We stayed in Upper Grays Campground. Sites were fairly small but mostly screened from your neighbors. Some sites had good shade, others not so much.

This is a nice quiet campground with great access into Onion Valley. However, it’s best suited for tent or small vehicle camping. We have a 25’ travel trailer and thought we had chosen a site that would work. However, the crumbling of the asphalt driveway and overgrown bushes made it difficult to fit. But we did. Also, the water coming out of the spigots was brown. Again, it’s a nice quiet campground with a running stream and convenient access to town, but not great for travel trailers, at least not in the Upper Grays. Lower Grays had more open sites, which we would choose if in the area again.

No onsite host; campfires were being burned notwithstanding ban due to fire danger and amplified music was being played and a generator run into the night.

Narrow roads for an rv. Low tree branches along the exit path which scraped the roof of the rv.
