We stayed 3 nights in our 35' - 5th wheel . Bathrooms and showers were not available ( due to Covid Protocols ) at the time of our stay.
We traveled with my 2 grandsons (6 and 3) and their parents. They enjoyed every minute of walks, fishing, small hikes and watching the deer migrate throughout the Camp.
No power or water at each site , but water is available in Campground to fill tanks, scattered about every 5 spots.
Easy access to fishing and hiking all through the area.
Campground hosts were visible and friendly. Oversized and Extra vehicle parking may find it difficult in the Campground. ASK the hosts for best off site parking info. The side of the road adjacent to campground may be a thought.
Distance between camp-sites is plentiful for privacy.
Alternative to this campground, the SilverLake RV Resort Parking lot across the highway. Don't get me wrong, I've stayed there and appreciate the Full hook ups, the General store and Marina for Boat rentals. But basically just enough room to park your rig. We didn't want to stare at the side of our fellow campers rig and hear their every move.
This INYO forest campground was 5 star place to camp if you have a self-contained rig or just want to rough it camp. I'm sure the use of bathroom & shower amenities will change when Covid restrictions are eased soon.
Reservations and campground site info on Recreation.gov website was more than informative and easy to use.
Cheers !
