We chose our site (54) because it was the only one left, but I'd recommend going farther from the road to minimize road noise overnight. There were also a lot of RVs in this campground. We still had a wonderful experience, but tent-camping purists may want to look elsewhere. For us, this was a winner because of: (1) the proximity to June Lake Loop, Ansel Adams Wilderness (recommend Parker Lake hike -- very close by), Yosemite and Mammoth Lakes, (2) the pack outfitter across the street meant we could see horses throughout our visit, (3) deer were everywhere!, (4) we were able to SUP on Silver Lake, (5) bathrooms were clean; showers were hot and clean, (6) sites were spacious.

Love this CG. The spaces are roomy and the views are too die for. The host keeps the park up and bathroom/showers clean.

If youre looking for a place to go camping, Silverlake Campground would be the best It is beautiful in between mountains in the Sierras with a beautiful landscape and a beautiful lake. Nice parking places very safe, clean bathrooms.

On the beautiful June Lake Loop, fantastic mountain and lake scenery. Great campground, very clean and well maintained with a spectacular camp host that has decades of experience camping here. Fishing is probably good, but I didn't have time to try. THE SHOWERS ARE AWESOME, BRING QUARTERS AND EXTRA FLIP FLOPS. I got Verizon, maybe one or two bars only.Waterfalls in the areas were spectacular due to heavy precipitation winter of 2022-2023, lakes were full, high country is very lush with SPRING VEGETATION in July! The mountain air is fresh and brisk with the smell of wildflowers and new growth sagebrush.A grocery store and restaurants are about 10-15 minutes away at the wonderful little town of June Lake. Visit June Lake loop and avoid the crowds and traffic in Yosemite Valley, Tahoe, Mammoth, etc.

I was really disappointed that all 4 of the showers were being worked on at the same time. I wish they could have worked on two at a time so there was at least 2 working showers. This was really inconvenient for my group since we rely on them at the end of the day. I was sent a reminder email from Recraetion.gov a few days before that I had a reservation coming up and wish there was something in the email about the showers being out of order. I could have planned for it. We made it work for the week we were there and did have an enjoyable time.
