There was a mix-up with the Hosts and our space for our one night stay was sold (accidentally)The Host at the time, Mark (I think), went out of his way to try find us a place, and eventually gave us a refund in cash. We found a camping spot for a few days at Twin Lakes out of Bridgeport, California (about an hour away).Oh, well, stuff happens. Our initial reaction to the Silver Lake Campground was that it was too crowded and too congested with tight camping spaces. We were not that disappointed to have to move on.

The campsite is nice, and quiet. The sites are clean. The views of the surrounding mountains, waterfalls, fall colors and night sky were amazing. The shower was cool and the floor was wet, so I wouldnt recommend a shower. The only other negative was the amount of smoke from the fires of other campers. It was very thick and stinky.
