We love Oh Ridge. We stay there every time we are in the area. There are specific things that you have to look for when choosing a site. Built in shelter, how close to others and if there are any trees. We have stayed in all variations of sites, but our favorite are built in shelter with a tree. This provides the best coverage. It gets super hot with the sun. If tent camping, it will be 90 in your tent by 7am if not shaded. Which I guess doesn't matter because everyone starts stirring early, so you can't sleep anyway. We were unlucky to have very noisy neighbors one night. They had a party going, beer pong, etc. They were screaming well into the night. Not sure how or why that was allowed. We could hear all the other neighbors complaining about them too, so it wasn't just because we were right next to them. We also had a spot once in between families so they just used our area as a crossing path. Extremely invasive and disruptive. I wish they'd enforce the maximum person per site rule more. I think some people use camping as a reason to party and be loud outside. While others use camping to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and want peace and quiet. We have also had sites that were super quiet. So it is hit or miss just like any campground experience when you have tons of people nearby. We specifically love Oh Ridge because of the views and access to June Lake. It is absolutely beautiful. We do a ton of hiking while there, so we enjoy the access to Inyo and Yosemite. The bathrooms are flush toilets with sinks (cold water only). Lee Vining or Mammoth has anything you'd need shopping wise for food or gear. The RV spot next door has showers. We just discovered this on our latest trip! $1 for about 5 minutes. Nonetheless, with all the annoyances that can happen, we always enjoy Oh Ridge!
