I used to come here to camp every year growing up and this was our first visit back in a long time and felt disappointed. The general store and next door showers were closed which was a big inconvenience. Bathrooms no longer provide soap or electrical outlets. The biggest surprise is that there is now a fee to park at the beach even if you are camping on-site. I can understand charging a fee for day visitors but a big reason for many to camp at Oh Ridge is beach access to June Lake. That being said this area is so beautiful and has much to see and do. We enjoyed some hikes and visited other nearby lakes. We love this area so much but until somethings improve here (general store & showers reopen and fee waived for campers), my family and I will be choosing other campsites to enjoy the sierras.

Most of the sites are comfortably spaced out and roomy. The highlight of the campground is when, in the morning, the first light paints the peaks of the mountains behind the lake a soft pink. Bathrooms are also at a comfortable distance even from the sites that are furthest away, and clean. The campground is only a 40-minute drive from Yosemite's Tuolumne Meadows and only 20 minutes from Mono Lake. It's easily accessible from the main road but not too close.
