The location of this campground makes it a great spot. Although, I wish they would have some hook up sites. All the sites are non-electric. I was surprised that we had to pay $10 for the use of the park dump station, since these are usually included in the cost of the site. Overall, great location. I'd come back to New Shady Rest.

Perfect quiet clean campsites in the woods but can walk under the street to coffee or order a pizza.

All of the camp hosts were friendly, professional, and helpful. They informed me of any potential bear problems and how to keep food and other items safe from bears and other critters.
The entire New Shady Rest Campground needs to have new blacktop on all roads and campsites. The existing roads and campsites in the campground are actually dangerous.

Always love to stay at Shady Rest when we're at Mammoth Lakes. It's usually quiet, sites are fairly roomy. Bathrooms were clean. Will definitely camp there again and again.

This is a great campground and the campground hosts, Rebecca and Sal, make the experience very enjoyable!
