I talked to the host before reserving to make sure we would not have any problems entering the site with our trailer. We get there and it was impossible to get in and the host was no help. We had to go to a different rv park.

The campsite (#95) was very poor for a tent as there was not a level spot on the entire site except immediately adjacent to the fire pit.

I enjoyed the campground very much. The hosts maintain a clean campground and restrooms.

Our family loves Mammoth Lakes, and we try to camp out here once a year. However, this year was an unpleasant stay at the Twin Lake Campground because of our experience with the campground host, Rawnie (sp?). Right from our first interaction our family felt unwelcomed and singled out the very first morning of our stay as we had exceeded the six-person maximum. We were able to find an additional site the next night, but she wasnt open about the availability of sites until I showed her on the phone that there were first come first served sites open. She yelled at the kids at me at one point when they were about to cross between two sites to get to the bathroom and they were afraid to go to the bathroom after that. We had an unfortunate bear visit our campsite and despite all the yelling and hoking of the cars no one came to see us despite her driving around the loop and harassing us every 20 minutes. We ended up staying at a hotel on the third night to avoid the constant vigilance and feeling like we were some bad people. We camp everywhere but weve never been disrespected in this way and when it really mattered, she was nowhere to be found. Bad vibes overall. Other than that, Mammoth Lakes is so beautiful.

Great Fishing bike trails hiking sightseeing great family time can also drive in to the city of Mammoth less than 10 miles away.. Bring plenty of food propane as these things are available but very expensive..
