We had spot 068. It was a nice spot- separated from others and across the road and down a bit from the restroom. We had a camper van and it was easy to level in front of the picnic table. Sadly, we were smoked out the first night and didn't stay for the second. Just choking smoke from other campers. Wish they'd establish no campfire areas. Wood smoke is toxic, you know? The restroom was great- flush toilets! Easy walk to the store and water. The bike paths to town and up to the upper lakes was right there. Luckily, the Tamarack lodge with cabins was close by! We stayed in a cabin instead of getting smoked out again.

Stayed for a couple nights with the wife and daughter. we absolutely loved it. we rented bikes and went for a bike ride and rented a boat from the local store and went paddling around the lake. it was so peaceful and beautiful. there were so many fish in the lake !! would recommend. ps be bear safe! one came through our campsite one night. Bear boxes arent for decoration !!

What an enjoyable campground. The sites and rest rooms are clean. Everything seems to run orderly. Camp hosts are helpful and friendly. Even the campers are surprisingly neighborly.

There's easy boating on three lakes, pretty things to see in side excursions, and the children were so excited to go to the camp store for ice cream once a day. In the easily-driveable area are so many monuments, parks, sights, history, and beautiful vistas that we could have stayed until cold weather drove us out.

One not-too-scary experience with a bear, but even this animal was mellow, a good education.
