In addition to being in a beautiful setting, this campground is easily one of the best-maintained I've ever seen. The Campground Hosts should be commended and rewarded! Make sure to hike up to Crystal Lake.

Nice high altitude campground (8900') that is paralleled by two creeks...Coldwater Creek and Mammoth Creek. In warmer weather you'll want to be sure to select a site that is shaded as it can get pretty warm if your fully exposed in sun, Bathrooms are cleaned twice daily by hosts. Conveniently located adjacent to Emerald Lake Trail and Duck Pass Trail with plenty of offshoot trail options. If you like to fish or paddle, also a short walk to Lake Mary. Bears will wander through the campground both day and night searching for cars, picnic tables or open bear bins with food. If you plan to bring an RV, pay close attention to the driveway length and angle in the campsite description.

Enjoyed this camp and camp hosts Eric and Tina were nice and informative. We reserved site #37. This site provided ample space and plenty of natural shade, we never had to set up our pop up canopy. It does provide little privacy and the creek is near this site but never felt like we could dip more than our toes in there d/t over growth. Never had any issues with noise. Bathrooms were dated but clean and provided flush toilets. Plenty of places nearby to hike, kayak and fish. Bring the mosquito repellent because during dawn/dusk they’re out! Repellent did work to keep them at bay. Overall, I would book at this campground again but maybe a different site.
