Camp spots are nicely spread out to give everyone enough space. Plenty of access to water, bathrooms, and trash cans, we did have a bear that did not want to leave the campground but the host were kind enough to show the bear back to its side of the mountain.

Great place to camp just outside of the downtown scene at Mammoth Lakes. Close to Lake Mary and great hiking trails inside the campground. Clean bathrooms and great campsites.

We had a wonderful 6 days at Coldwater Campground enjoying the crisp fall mountain air! As we had not initially made reservations, we had to move sites. But due to the kind direction from the campground hosts, Eric & Tina, we ended up in the perfect spot. We hope to return next season!

Campground is clean, restrooms are very nice. Camp hosts kept up on things. Bodie Ghost Town is a great place to visit. The hike around Gull lake is an easy one and has some great views.

This is a beautiful campground. The campsites themselves are super clean and the restrooms are beautiful. We could’ve stayed a week.

Campground was clean. Bathrooms in excellent condition and all camp hosts were very helpful… especially when they rolled up in their gold cart to chase away a bear I didn’t see on the other side of my truck!!!

This was our first time camping at this campground and we had a fantastic time. We got lucky in that our site wasn't close to others and quite large. We were near a creek so at night we could hear the water which was very relaxing. The camp hosts were GREAT! Very friendly and kept the bathrooms in tip top shape. I've never seen such clean bathrooms at a campground before!
Our only animal experience was with Stellar's Jays stealing some of our pistachios. It's important to keep all food closed or locked away! As long as you keep everything with a scent in the bear box you will be fine (this includes toiletries!) Bears are active in this campground but we didn't see or have any experience with them since we followed the rules and packed everything away and kept a clean camp. The night before we arrived someone's car windshield was smashed since they left food in their car.
There are excellent hikes in the area and Lake Mary is beautiful for fishing and relaxing.
We did have to tell a group to turn off their loud music at 11:30pm. Please remember to be respectful and that voices and music do echo in the campground further than you think.
Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back!
