Site 32 was beautiful with views of the lake through the trees. The slope is substantial and was an issue even in a 19 ft trailer.

Location was peaceful. There is an archery shooting complex near by. There isnt much for bike riding or hiking trails, but close to the lake for some shore fishing.

Warning for 5th wheels, class As and longer campers. This site is a nightmare. I wish Id seen the reviews before I had it booked and paid for. The site is so steep that when the camper went onto it, it skinned the back of the top of our truck gate. On the drivers side we had to tuck the camper in within 6 of the back in order to have the awning on the other side miss the other tree. The awning could only extend half way. And once we were in we werent able to level it because the front was as low as it would go and the back as high as it would go. Still not level. When lowering the steps only 1 leg was on the ground while the other leg had to have blocks. This site is a real ankle turner. Absolutely would not recommend this site. BUT.. on a good note the bathrooms were immaculate. Probably the cleanest campground bathrooms I've ever seen. I hope this helps you not scratch up your truck. We had no idea until we were somewhat backed in.

Campsite was great as always. We had the same site as last year. The staff was great & the facilities were in perfect condition. I love sitting out in the evening watching the sunset over the lake, through the trees. The campground was not filled this year as it had been the past two years.

We were in site 32. We were camping in a fifth wheel rv. I would not recommend this site for rv camping. The grade was very steep and we could not correct it.

Campground was very clean and well maintained. Bicycle trails were a huge plus. Some campsites were close to the lake with sandy beach areas behind them which made it easy to launch a kayak.

This was the second year we camped here. Last year wee learned to reserve as early as possible. We also scouted the campground for sites we would like to try on future visits. We had a beautiful secluded site (full hookups) in the woods, where we could see the lake through the trees & also close to the restroom. Surprisingly the bugs were not bad. The campground is very well maintained & the staff is friendly & courteous. Our AT&T service was sufficient for streaming the TV & computer. The other campers were friendly, courteous & well behaved. I brought my canoe for some lake paddling. We plan to return again next year. FYI: limited number of "full hookup" sites & the inclines of some sites require additional blocking. HAPPY CAMPING

Gun Creek is beautiful, quiet and clean. I wish I could have stayed longer. My particular site, #32 was terribly slanted front to back. It was just impossible to level my 35’ a-class - but that’s the luck of the draw when you are going somewhere you’ve never been before.
