The campground was clean and easy to get in and out of. The shower house and bathrooms were kept up and clean. Most sights had views of the lake.

It was very convenient to have a golf course right near the camping. 27 holes gave us a good variety of golfing. The camping areas were very good. Paved not gravel sites. Very Scenic

This is our favorite campground in S. IL and we stay as often as we can. That said, not always is our favorite campsites available due to the popularity of this campground. Our site this time was not level in multiple angles and we were pelted by thousands of acorns. Obviously, our favorite campsite is mostly level and acorn-free. Just a warning to November campers, do not be afraid to look out your window to see dozens of deer hanging from the trees at many campsites for you are in the middle of a local hunting season nearby. We know the infrastructure is subject to a lot of wear and tear. Make sure you bring waterproof shoes when connecting to the freshwater supply at the dump station and plumbing leaks have necessitated reaching 3-5 feet to attach your water hose or to turn on/off the water. I had to step in a pool of water 8 feet wide to connect/disconnect my hoses and from memory, this has been several years now in a row during our visits. I wish that more campsites had been more level, some of their other newer properties got this right, and some of the older properties seemed to be built by non-RVers in the sense that LEVEL wasn't a prime design criterion. Nonetheless, we love this campground and have stayed here on and off for many years now.

Pleasant, scenic & enjoyable. My cell had 2 bars enabling all access I needed for avail media & texts.

Very quiet and clean. Liked that they had grass and trees for shade. A little traffic noise but it really wasn't that much. Prices were lower and reasonable compared to other parks .

The campground was so quiet even though it was almost full. Everyone respected each others camps. The gate attendant lady was very friendly, even gave doggie treats to our dogs! We have camped at all the Rend Lake Army Corp of Engineers campgrounds and they are all awesome!

We love camping there. We spend a lot of our summer there. Very friendly staff and our campsites are always clean..
