The park itself was nice. But the campground roads had no shoulders. There were large drop-offs which it made it very difficult to back into the sites. And many of the sites had such steep inclines it didn't look like you could level your trailer. Make sure you look at the pitch of any site you are looking to book. I have a 35 ft 5th wheel. We stayed in site 3. As we were backing in the trailer went off the curb, dropped on the bed of truck and put a large dent in it. We did speak to 2 park rangers about the incident. They were both very nice but obviously could not help us. We asked for some gravel to put where our trailer had dropped. All they could do was let maintenance know about it. Nothing had been done by the time we left. The turnarounds are also small making it harder for the bigger rigs to get around them without going off the road.

Convenient, easy access from interstate. Many activities close by. The only con was very late check in - 4 pm. Some sites are full hookups.

This is a GREAT PARK!
Let me start by saying that our RV is 45 feet long and our hauler is 30 feet long. When connected we are just at about 70 feet long. The site we reserved, #3, was long enough to back in and disconnect our hauler. It was perfect. My hubs is an expert trailer backer, though. The turn to get in was really tight but it was doable. There were TONS of other sites at Gunn Creek that would have fit us just fine.
Check in and out were super easy. Biking and hiking trails were super close by. We have recommended this park to many of our RV friends.
