Great, mostly flat site and easy to level your rig. That's not the case with many of the sites here. There are an inordinate amount of negative sloped sites (sloping away from the campground road toward the back of the site). There are some that I would consider unusable for that reason. Look for the notes made about the grade percentage of slope and also check reviews where most of us will let you know!

We stayed in site 20 with a class A and toad. FHU and easy to level. Great campground. We stay often when we are in this area.

While not on the water, this site offers some views of the lake when the campground is not full. The parking pad is very level and easy to access. Depending upon the length of your camper, and where the doors are located, your door could come out on an area that the site gravel is not level with the pad. The USACE had placed some additional gravel along the edge of the parking pad, so we did not have any of the issues noted in other reviews. While the fire ring and picnic table are not near the parking pad, they are not terribly inaccessible. The sites in this area of the campground offer ample space between campers. Shopping for last minute foods or smores supplies can be found at Walmart a few minutes away in the town of Benton. About 30 minutes away in the town of Marion you will find a Camping World (if you have issues with your camper) and a multitude of restaurants and stores.

Gun Creek has great facilities in a great location. Full hookup sites are a plus. Rend Lake area has so much to offer. We had a great two weeks!

The campground was big-rig friendly (we have a 39' 5ver) and easy to get around. It was well maintained. The campground is beautiful. We were in site 20 and the only downside was the rather large drop between the pad and ground. With the narrow site, it caused our stairs to be too short. We improvised, but a concrete pad there would have been nice and helpful.

Some of the sites have a drop off from the pad which makes it hard to get in and out of the camper. It would be nice if they were either graveled in or concreted. Id like to see metal trash bins for dog poop

This site is nice and long and level, and you are even in the shade. The big problem is when you step out of your camper the ground is all washed out and when it rains it get muddy because there is no grass around (probably due to all the shade which is great). And the picnic table is almost in the woods. The site right beside it isn't much better its all washed out as well. I don't think we would stay in this site again..

This campground was great. The only complaint we have is that the showers could use some small adjustments to be just a bit more practical. There is a half wall to separate the little shower room from the changing room, but a curtain would be nice.

Nice full hookup, close to the playground, but, the concrete pad has a very sharp drop off on the side, very dangerous if your unsteady. It rally needs to be sloped, someone is going to end up hurt!

The camp spot had no patio to sit out side. We have camp other sites and will never return to #20 again. It needs lots of work and should not be available to camp on. We would rather stay home, there's a drop off from. The pad and not safe when getting in or out of our camper.

We will definitely be back! We have a 45 toy hauler and we were easily able to back into site 20 which was really quite level. Sites overlooking the lake are better suited for small travel trailers as many of them have an incline and will require some blocks under your jacks.Facilities were clean and well maintained. We did have an issue with our power and as soon as we told the gal at the front she had a work order placed and the team was out the next day to replace our breaker. They would have been out same day, but they had already left when we got around to telling them. If you have issues, be sure to call during business hours and wait outside as they wont knock on your camper door (in case youre sleeping they dont want to wake you).
