Our site was fantastic... edge of the water with unobstructed view of the lake. Was told that when Army Corps stays, they prefer this site and I have no doubt of the veracity of the claim. AND like other reviews, the golf cart parade is real! Felt like I was the gorilla at the zoo that everybody needed to drive by and see. So my only negative really is that there's no privacy if you stay at this location. Campground was clean and they showers and bath facilities were clean and stocked as well... Would love to come back, but may consider a different location.

We have a wonderful site with beautiful views. We used this visit to ensure everything was working well in our new camper as it's close to the dealer from whom we purchased it. We'll be back!

Very nice campground. All the sites are fairly level, very roomy and well spaced out. The shower house was always clean and they have several that are handicap accessible. Campground hosts were helpful in answering questions about area activities. We really enjoyed the 11 miles of paved bicycle trail that goes thru the campground. Deer and turkeys were spotted in the campground and on the trail.

Beautiful, large lakefront site with clean, private restroom/showers. Great day of boating, too.

The camp hosts and the people running the check-in booth were all fantastic! And the new shower house in the Red Bud loop is a great addition but there were 2 big issues. 1st Issue: The new shower house building is VERY HOT. I sweated more while taking my shower than I did anything else while camping in the 2 weeks I was there. There is a small exhaust fan in each of the 4 rooms but it is way too small to pull the heat out. The park needs to install a larger fan. It was a very miserable experience taking a shower and trying to get dressed or shave or even to just use the toilet was a horrible experience. 2nd Issue: The gravel patio areas are washing out and disappearing. Most of the gravel is gone and the patio areas at every campsite is turning into dirt. When it rains or just the morning dew causes it to turn into mud and it's almost impossible not to track it into your tent, camper or vehicles. It's even becoming a bigger mess if you have a pet with you. New gravel or chat needs to be brought in. I also recommend larger chat or gravel. The tiny pieces of gravel gets caught in your shoes or your pet's paws when you come inside your and tent, camper or vehicles. A few years ago, a piece was missed when we did our final cleaning before leaving and our slide-out caught it and it ripped the floor of our new camper. It was only our 3rd trip in the camper too. We had to replace our whole floor and insurance did not cover the cost.

Very quiet, well-maintained campground with nicely spaced sites. Some sites are shady with beautiful lake views. Shower houses are clean. We camped in our RV and didnt bring another vehicle, although there was plenty of space for one. The lake is nice for boating. We rented kayaks from Black Dog Kayak Rental (highly recommend) and had them delivered to our lakefront campsite. It was a fun family weekend.
