If you come far be prepared to wait for your spot to open, 4pm is when you can claim your spot that you payed for overnight. Otherwise South Sanduskey is very clean.

We decided to move campsites to extend our stay to a full hookup site versus just electric as a reservation someone else had was cancelled. We were not able to modify the first change as it was for the same dates as the current reservation so according to the Rend Lake conservation center and your phone service the only way was to cancel with the $10 fee and reschedule for the same dates at the other campground. When we wished to stay on the site due to another cancellation again we had a reservation for the same day this time same campground again the only way to modify was by cancelling with the $10 dollar fee and rebooking. We ended up paying A total of $30 in fees to stay the same length of time but on one campsite versus moving around. If you offer the modify option and it doesnt work I dont feel we should be charged. Other than that all the workers are great in trying to assist and the grounds are managed and kept well with improvements every time we go. Just fix the programming for modifications. Thank you

The site was very nice, the pine trees were wonderful. Funny, Im getting older, was called by ranger stating my motorhome was still on site. I said yes mam, I have it till the 4th. She said, sir.., today is the 4th. Looked at my phone and said, uh, yes it is, Im so sorry. She very kindly said the site was available for the next day if Id like to reserve it for another day. So I did and she told the camp host and all was well. I have no complaints wit any Rend Lake reservations we have made and camped at.
This campground is very well maintained with plenty of space between sites. We were only there for a night but would happily spend a week.

South Sandusky campground is not handicapped accessible as they claim. I had to wheel my son out on the back 2 tires because when I pushed him, the front wheels would dig into the rock. There was no dumpster in the Pine Tree loop. You had to drive to get rid of trash.

It is a great place for camping. We enjoy the fishing and kayaking in the lake. The only down side is that if you do not book a sight 6 months in advance you can only stay from Monday - Thursday and have to leave by 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The campground is booked up every weekend. and all most empty during the week.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
