Its been 15 years since our previous visit. My wife and I both commented after camping in many states that we missed camping in southern Illinois.

One of our favorite campgrounds. Very nice sites, shaded, and full hookup is always a big plus.

The camp grounds are always clean and neat. We enjoy North Sandusky very much. We normally camp during the weekdays and the camp sites are more sparsely occupied. It is quiet and relaxing.

North Sandusky/Rend Lake is the destination we look forward to the most during our summer camping adventures. This year we stayed in Wood duck at North Sandusky. After 6 years consistently staying at Rend Lake (North Sandusky) this is the 1st time we have to rate is a 3/5 because the sulfur smell was awful! That is something that must be addressed.

Clean, quiet. Nice playground in the day-use area for the kids. Great concrete walk/bike path 12 miles long to South Sandusky. Lots of birds and an occasional deer if you watch for them.

We had a very nice day end of summer vacation at North Sandusky Camp Ground. Our site #40 was prefect, the sites are very spacious and clean. The staff are wonderful. The entire park was just very nice I cant say enjoy good things, we will definitely be visiting again.

This was our first time here. The website was a great help in selecting our site with photos, etc. We had a RV site with full hook-up. The site included a nice parking pad, concrete pad connected to it and a concrete picnic table, fire ring, and lamp post with hook.We had a beautiful view of the lake and the other sites were not right on top of us. Some places probably would have stuck another trailer or two in between the sites.I did not get the chance to fish or golf but plan to our next trip. A couple of our camping neighbors seemed to be doing well catching crappie. It was not far to the local town with several restaurants, fast food, Walmart, etc. which made it convenient as we needed a few things and a part to fix a broken water line in the RV.The bathrooms by our site were basic and clean, and the main bath and shower house was also very clean. The showers each had a small private dressing area with the individual shower with a door to lock. I tried the shower and it was great. In the evening we saw a lot of deer as we drove in and out to our campsite. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

It's a nice place to visit and all but the turkey mites that all 8 of us came home with is not worth it. Ended up canceling our reservation for this weekend due to the turkey mites.

We had a very pleasant experience at North Sandusky. Campground is well maintained including restrooms. The bike /walking path is very nice. We had an issue with our fire ring and the campground host took care of it right away and came back the next day to check on us. We visited Pheasant Hollow Winery. Two diner type restaurants, Burtons and Cozy Table are very good and reasonably priced. For two retirees and their dog who jus like to relax this was a perfect stay.

Beautiful lake and campsites, many with a view of the lake. Many great hikes and fun places to visit in the Shawnee National Forest area.
