Site 18 @ S. Marcum campground. Beautiful park and campground. Lots of shade. Clean restroom (did not use shower house). The paved walking paths were excellent. Our site slanted down one side so we had to use 3 blocks to level. The site was long enough for our 36 camper with slides on both sides and our truck with room to spare. Picnic table had some standing water & completely flooded with heavy rain. Most of the water drained within 24 hours. Most sites we noticed had some kind of slant but nothing a leveling block or two cant fix nor prevent us from coming back. Overall this campground is one of our favorites. We plan on returning and may try other sections and/or Army Corp Engineers campgrounds on the lake.

Awesome experience and natural environment at South Marcum COE Campgrounds. This was our first COE campground trip. All employees we met were very friendly, courteous, and professional. Only one bad apple (COE volunteer camper) was noted with fireworks but park officials handled the situation promptly. Overall, we look to returning as well as visiting other COE campgrounds in the future.

Love coming here once or twice a year. Camp host always a pleasure. Well kept grounds. Wildlife all around. Bike path always enjoyable. Never have made it to the beach. Visitor Center always something very interesting. The owl program was enjoyed by all ages. Just wish it was a bit closer to home. But will continue the drive.
