Nice park, able to see nature (deer, turkeys, and numerous varieties of birds), well maintained, friendly hosts. All in all, a great campground!!!!

Awesome campground, friendly hosts, peace, quiet and just enough nature to make the visit more enjoyable. Deer, owls, and various different birds were enjoyed.

We were harassed by an uninformed park ranger that said we were not occupying the site when we were there every day. We canceled the rest of our vacation and came home. I guess we will join the ever growing number of people that wont use rend lake because of very poorly trained park rangers.

South Marcum is a very nice campground. The host are always friendly and helpful. Campsites are very nice, especially the ones on the water. The bike trails are wonderful. We always enjoy riding them .

South Marcum is a beautiful facility. The sites are spacious and the entire campground is clean and well kept.

Sunrises and sunsets with blasts of color. Starlit nights and yellow campfires. Eagles, hawks, osprey, white pelicans, egrets all in their magnificent glory. We love south marcum. Nice bathrooms, large wooded lots, pleasant hosts, with nearby Benton with shopping. Bring binoculars and a hammock.

We had a great campsite not to far from the lake. It was very nice and people were very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place.

We always have a great time at Rend Lake. Our Son's and Daughter-In-Law camped with us. We couldn't go swimming, but we went on walks and my granddaughter played on the playground. we also went into a small town bar that had music in the afternoon. Then at nights, we made a campfire. We all really enjoyed being together. Now I have to make reservations for Memorial Day weekend.

Three years in a row and not disappointed! Wonderful staff,clean campgrounds,great water pressure at sites, clean and modern facilities and just a nice relaxing area. The only downside is we travel 8 hrs...wish campground was closer! Army corps of engineers camping is the way to go!

This is a very nice campground. Normally pretty quiet. If you like biking and/or walking, the bike trail is great, and you need to try it.
