Campgrounds Available This Weekend Near Palatine, IL
Palatine, a northwest suburb of Chicago, is close to great camping destinations. Camp Reinberg, within the Cook County Forest Preserves, offers peaceful wooded camping with hiking and biking trails. Illinois Beach State Park, to the north, provides lakeside camping along the shores of Lake Michigan. Chain O’Lakes State Park, further north, offers excellent camping with boating and fishing on interconnected lakes. Starved Rock State Park, a bit further southwest, is known for its scenic canyons and waterfalls. Rock Cut State Park, near Rockford, features beautiful wooded campsites and a large lake for kayaking.
Blackhawk Park Campground in Crawford County is located 39 min south of La Crosse, WI with an elevation of 628 feet. There are a total of 73 campsites. The campground is open all year. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 35 and 99 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. All sites have electric hookups. Prices start at $26.00 per night. Some amenities include shower, dump station, boat ramp, swimming, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, floating sports.
Dunewood Campground in Porter County is located just 15 min west of Michigan City, IN with an elevation of 624 feet. There are a total of 66 campsites including 13 tent-only sites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of April to the beginning of November. 53 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 26 and 99 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. Prices start at $25.00 per night. Some amenities include shower, drinking water, restroom, trash dumpster, amphitheater, flush toilets.
Hungerford Equestrian Group Campsite is located in the White Cloud Ranger District, Huron-Manistee National Forest (1 hr 18 min northeast of Muskegon, MI) with an elevation of 1,196 feet. The site is normally open from the beginning of May to the end of October. Prices start at $75.00 per night. Activities include biking, hiking trails.
