We have camped mainly at Eldon Hazlet but finally got a site at Dam West. This is a very hard campground to get in. It was worth the wait, we enjoyed the park and the full hook up site 82 that we were on. Can't wait to go back next year.

The spot is beautiful and well maintained. However, there was a wasp nest inside the electrical box. When my husband unplugged he was stung. Since he's allergic we ended up in the ER.

This is a nice spot to camp that has great views of the river. The sites were large, well spaced and well maintained.

This was our first experience with a campground operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers. It was an eye opening experience to say the least. We are in our second year of camping and this was the nicest place we have stayed so far. I wrote a rave review in a camping forum and was light-heartedly chastized by a friend of mine who lives in Lebanon, IL, saying I was going to ruin his secret favorite place to get away for a quiet weekend. These are the largest, nicest, full-hookup sites we have seen anywhere. We will be back!
