This is a lovely campground with the perfect amount of shade. Many sites have electric, not all have water so check before you arrive. There is a water spigot just past the check in station.

It is a very nice campground. The lake is awesome. Some sites are quite a distance to the restrooms. We switched to site on the lake that was open and nearer a restroom and could put in kayaks from our campsite. We saw flocks of white pelicans that live in the area. The restrooms were clean. The biggest problem was that the showers would go off after about 30 seconds, so you were repeatedly pushing a button to keep the water running.

i love it. but check out should be at 12 not 5 and people should be able to park camper here if you dont sleep here local people take spaces that the rest drive 1 hour are better to get to i love dam west the best host ever all was happy to see you thanks mike

Dam West is a very good Camp Ground. Excellent walking trails, beautiful view of Lake from many sites, nice beach, easy walk to restaurant (Mexican) and a McDonalds, short drive gas and diesel, clean campground, excellent hosts and easy in/out. The Visitor Center is great.

The 'so called camp host Al" was one of the rudest and confrontational person I have ever been exposed to. He needs to be reminded of the definition of host. We were paying guest at Dam West. Both " host" need to be trained together so they are on same page about rules. One says one thing the other says or does something else. How are we as paying customers to know what to do. Al says he cant help what the other host says or does. He confronted us like we were small kids. He's a horrible host. Campground was kept very clean by cleaning person and the folks maintaining landscape were very polite. Whoever is over those so called hosts needs to rethink them. As long as Al is at Dam West I will not recommend it to anyone!!! Very disappointed with visit.

This camping trip was great. Wifi was good. The only problem I had was the shower. ( Main shower) Half way through the shower the it turned ice cold. Other than that everything was good.

This was my first trip to the campground and thoroughly enjoyed it!! I have a special needs child that is in a wheelchair so having the streets and parts of the camping area concrete made it easier to get around. When I did have an issue - it was quickly rectified. I will definitely be back.
