My brother reserved camp site 69 at West dam camp grounds. We got pushed out early by host due to new campers coming in before our scheduled leave at 4p.mWe proceeded to reserve a 2nd camp grounds where we were profiled and harassed.the staff peaks in your windows walking around the camp site we were told they were allowed to do this. Totally unacceptable in the 40 years that I have camped these past 8 days have been the worst experience of my life time the staff that makes the rules needs to be retrained send them to school they seem to have forgotten that rules apply to everyone but they seem to have people that are friends with the staff and allowed to do as they please while the staff turns there head,enforcing rules on the new guys constant harassment I feel me and my family were treated poorly and I hope that the people in charge of this staff at Carlyle campgrounds West step up to the plate and fix the malpractice.

Super hosts welcomed us to a clean quiet campground where the shower houses were immaculate & the grounds were maintained.

What a gem!! We needed a place to stay overnight on our return trip and fount this outstanding location. Large, tree covered, relatively level lots throughout the park add to the parks scenic location. We will go out of our way to visit this property again.

Had a wonderful experience at Carlyle Lake Dam West!!! Camp hosts were very friendly, great family atmosphere, and the park, as well as the park facilities, is super clean.

We stayed 2 weeks at Dam West campground in August at Carlyle Lake, Had a wonderful time the camping host was great switched my spots for me to a first come first served so I never had to move and was on the water for the whole time, always treated with respect, and a Beautiful park, took our bikes for a ride every day and went out on the lake a few times to fish , they were doing some tree maintenance I was happy to see , we have a nice camper and would hate to have a big branch fall on it. Also the week we were there there was a make-up fireworks show going on from Carlyle on the lake what a bonus, we always love it there when we go . Thanks for a great memory!!

Our favorite campground to camp at is Dam West. However, the snowbirds have completely taken over this campground as well as Coles Creek. It is almost impossible to make a reservation on a weekend and forget any holiday. Somehow they have beat the system on reservations. We tried 6 months to the day to get July 4, 2020 reservations. What was left, if any, was that day and you couldnt reserve the following day but the snowbirds managed to get their 14 days farther through the six month time. This is not fair. They camp for 1/2 price so why not camp there all summer. I am disabled so I do get that luxury but finding a spot to camp is a joke. It is very frustrating.
