Site 46 was a very nice site across from water. Spacious and shady. It was very rainy 2 of our days and site drained well. We enjoyed a meal in Carlyle at Schleichers and totally recommend you try them. They are cash only. We would like to know if there is a pet limit allowed in this campground. We had neighbors across from us that had 7 smaller dogs in a fenced area outside. They barked a lot. Thankfully they were only there our first night. Also, there were many larger tree limbs down at multiple sites as well as dead limbs up in trees. I feel like some work needs to be done to remove these dead limbs to prevent possible injury. This is a very nice campground overall.

This was our first time to Dam West and really enjoyed it. I would like to see the first come first serve spots go away. Campers leave their RV in some of the best spots and do not stay. Taking away these spots from people that are really camping.

The check in was absolutely enjoyable. The couple was outstanding in helping and explained everything. Anytime after that they were very friendly and still concerned about our needs

Beautiful campground and excellent host! Very clean campground. Clean and well kept grounds, restrooms have A/C, and campground hosts were very friendly.

if you reserve a space on weekend you should have to pay for weekend . people reserve spaces till saturday and that cuts the chance for people that have work all week down on the good places

If you take your dog make sure it doesn't bark or you will be asked to leave by the rangers. We had to pack up a day early because we went and picked up our dogs Saturday morning. They were on our site for two hours. Barked at strangers that walked up on our site. We had the people leave and the dogs were quiet.
And next we knew we were greeted by a rude park ranger yelling and pointing at the dogs telling us to lock them up in the camper due to complaints of noise or we could leave. So ...we left. Lost a day we paid for. Its a very beautiful camp ground but one we will not return to.
