The park is beautiful. Campsites were clean, and all have great views. The host was kind of rude. We wanted to buy firewood, but its only available to pay by scanning with your phone, which we were unable to do. The host just shrugged his shoulders, and walked away saying Oh well. We didnt expect anyone to solve this issue, but we do expect good manners.

Nice campground. Quiet. Much wildlife in stream off of the Mississippi River to view. Campfire could have been a little farther from trailer but ample wood available from camp host and easy to purchase. Would return

We love camping at Thomson Causeway. It's a clean, quiet, serene campground. The spaces are varied in size, privacy, and access to the water. Tons for kids to do from biking, hiking, to water activities. Savannah & Clinton are both relatively close by. Tons of nature!

This is one of our favorite places to camp. So much wildlife to view including the Eagles and the eagle nest.

We were there the week of the 2 tornado warnings. We really appreciated that the local authorities went around the campground both times and told us where to take safe cover. We also enjoyed meeting and learning from the NEIU research team that was there studying the painted turtles during egg laying season. The campground continues to be excellently maintained, including the washrooms. Keep up the good work. We love it there.

My husband and I love camping at Thomson Causeway.We choose a site on the slough because we enjoy watching the Sandhill Cranes and other wildlife. The sites are level concrete and now water spigots have been added. The washrooms are very clean. The camp hosts are always friendly and helpful. We also make a point of going to the lock and dam to watch barges go through. Our visits to Thomson are always delightful.

The women at the entrance booth is out standing. Thank you so much. The bath house is one of the cleanest we have ever used. We love going to Thompson, thanks again.
