Our camping experience earned a solid four stars. The area is beautiful, the river is refreshing, and it was a great time. However, we were also promptly met by Jerry (the camp host) and given a rundown of the campground rules. We had a large crowd and multiple small children. On the fourth night, Jerry instructed us to move our small gas fire pit from the gravel parking lot to fire rings provided. This request seemed impractical; the pit provided is very close to trees and the space was limited, leaving little room for everyone to comfortably gather. In addition, we were unable to see the littles riding their bikes around the loop. The logic behind this move was unclear (especially with the fire danger) as it was not a problem for the first 3 nights. We tried to reason that we were within our campsite and a large gravel area, but there was no leeway. There was old wood in the provided fire pits and we were told to clean it out ourselves to make room for the gas pit. The shifting requirements felt a bit excessive.I would like to suggest that the fire rings be moved away from the trees, so that a family can fit around the fire pit without sitting in the long grass behind it. Overall, the area is beautiful and we had a nice stay.

This place was a nightmare! Logging trucks at 3am, every night until morning and the sound was on par with a train or a marching band perhaps. I am a light sleeper and I was in a tent so if you have an RV and maybe a little hard of hearing anyhow, you might not have the same experience. BTW, I am a sawyer and understand the importance of logging and the value of it but I have been up and down the state camping and only once did I have to deal with trucks before 6 am, that was here. I do not begrudge the industry one bit but 3am is insane! If you come here bring some good sleeping ear plugs. I gave up half way through my stay thanks to sleep deprivation. I camped in a rainstorm where it was only sunny one day and that was a delight in comparison.

Your camp hosts are some of the nicest people I have ever met. They helped people around the camp and were always friendly. Great people

Very clean. Nice people. Far end host let his dogs and neighbor's dogs run loose.
