The only draw back was being close to the highway when logging trucks were very early and woke us up. But other than that it was a very great place to stay.

Campsites were clean and well kept. Hosts friendly!

Loved the location and the fact that there was a river right in the campground was extra cool. The grounds were very well kept clean. The only negative was at around 5 AM the logging trucks start coming by and the campground is right along the highway. Worth it though.

The campground is right beside the road and can be noisy when logging truck drivers use their Jake brake. Helpful camp host.

The park and camp hosts were great bathrooms were very clean. Not sure why prices more than doubled but had fun

The campground is beautiful! The bathrooms are pristine. The staff is friendly, helpful, thoughtful and professional. I can't say enough good things about Huckleberry except I wish there were more spots so we could go more often.! Will be going there for years to come.

Nice camp spot, clean, very private spots, right near river
@BrendaM7823850 · Camped on Jul 9, 2025 at Campsite #2
Can't park both our vehicles in our reserved spots. Am handicapped. Can't park off the pavement. Need to make pavement big enough to accommodate at least 2 vehicles. Campers have to abide by the restrictions, so why is the host parked off pavement and has stuff parked on the grass?
@JuliaRonGCBF43 · Camped on Jun 30, 2025 at Campsite #1
The online reservation system is confusing. Nowhere on the board did it show where to go online for the reservation process. Thankfully the host helped us.

The camp hosts were so good at keeping everything spotless.
@LauraW5748533 · Camped on Jun 26, 2025 at Campsite #31
The hosts were amazing and the campground was great! Bathrooms were very clean and all the sites are nice. Definitely coming back. The only downside is if you're there during the week, the logging trucks do run up and down the main road quiet frequently.

All was well except: It seems absurd to charge a $15 fee per day for electricity. Seems quite excessive. It seems like a work-around to circumvent those who purchased federal passes under the impression that they would pay only 50% of camp fee. I suppose I should expect such a move from federal bureaucracy.

Great attentive hosts. Everything was very clean and cared for.

Too expensive for camping.

Great campground. All sites were very clean.

What a pleasure to stay here. Campground very well kept and serviced. All the accommodations to expect with exception of showers so river front site recommended. Definitely stay again and located conveniently to drive 20 minutes to Avery.

Great place to camp.

The campground was very clean and well-kept. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. There are hot spots for cell phone use.

This is a fantastic campground! Camp hosts are great. While there is a bery small area at the campground that provides a wifi connection, just make sure you are prepared for no cell phone service for 10 miles either way of the place. This might be a good thing for some :).

Huckleberry has very well-maintained grounds and clean vault bathrooms. The sites are large, the scenery beautiful, and the fishing okay considering it gets pummeled every weekend and somewhat throughout the week.Campsites have full hook ups so the RVers are all over it on the weekend. I've got nothing but love for 'em but they do have some odd habits. At Huckleberry many of the campers brought ATVs and used them to slowly cruise the campground loops like low riders on Sunset Boulevard. The noise and exhaust fumes were an unwelcome irritation in such a beautiful spot.

Huckleberry is still undergoing renovation; however, the past 3 years of effort are really making an impact-reduced noxious weeds, less hazardous trim limbs, improved water and power systems.
@LeeW3847834 · Camped on May 22, 2025 at Campsite #9
The campground is great, but the camp host was picky, petty, and in your business frequently.
@ColinCE7340422 · Camped on May 22, 2025 at Campsite #1
Amazing place. Lots of people but each campsite was secluded. Best kept campsite I've seen in a long time. Even pit toilets were delightfully well maintained and comfortable to visit. Camp hosts were out keeping up the grounds and amenities consistently.
@BrendaM7823850 · Camped on May 21, 2025 at Campsite #11
Been going there for 20 years or more. Was really unsatisfied with the camp hosts. My biggest problem was that you can register so many cars per site. We only had 2, even though I put in the max. Told us if a tire was touching the grass, we had to move the vehicle. I am handicapped with a state sticker and had to park quite away from our campsite. Camp host was rude about it. Need to make campsites a little wider so they can accommodate handicapped people.
@KevinP4445220 · Camped on Oct 13, 2024 at Campsite #24
Long parking spurs and good separation between sites. Great off road riding just across the street. Great fishing, rafting, and swimming out the back of many sites.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
