The new camp host program is awesome. Great people to talk to and facilities were well maintained.

In 2023 we had paid campground hosts and the campground was kept in immaculate condition. In 2024 we have volunteers and they dont put as much pride in maintaining the campground as was done in prior years. The rest rooms are not as clean as they used to be and are not cleaned on a regular basis. The fire pits are not maintained and today are way too full of burned ash. Please bring back our paid hosts. We spend usually five to seven weeks at Riley Creek and love it and miss the maintenance.

This is one of our favorite places to camp! Love having power and water and the ability to dump our tanks on the way out for no charge is a huge plus. Also, the swimming area and the playground is wonderful for the grandkids! However, this trip was a bit disappointing as we watched as some of the campground rules were not enforced for some campers. We had a tent as well as our trailer and were told by the host upon arrival that the tent had to stay within the gravel portion of the site. No problem, we moved the table and made room for it. But then a group came in across from us and were allowed to put their tent back under the trees and nothing was said to them. Also, there were a couple of large groups that were allowed to have 2-3 trailers and well over the amount of people allowed per site. One big group had several young people who rode their skateboards around the campgrounds each night and talking loudly way past the quiet time of 10:00. Again, the quiet hours were not being enforced. We are not the kind of people to complain about these types of things, but when we are told we have to follow the rules but they are not enforced for others, that's not ok.

The 100% reservation system currently being instituted needs to be changed back to the old system where only a certain number of sites were reservable and the rest were on a first-come basis. We live in the area and loved the old system!
