Beautiful area. There were a lot of trees down, gone and being taken out because of a major store the previous year. So very open and no privacy. Totally understandable. We were the upper loop which I was thankful for. When we went to the water the lower loop had major issues with wind. I would not have been happy as all. Kids loved the waves in the lake. Definitely will be going back. Oh and they had free wood. Probably because of all the downed trees but it was great.

This is a beautiful campground! Far superior to the private RV resort next door. If you're lucky you can get a site very close to the water or even waterfront, but the foresty sites in the more inland loops are huge and beautiful. We probably had the worst site in our loop (RIGHT next to the bathroom) but it was still a wonderful stay. Love the dog friendly beach.

Terry the camp manager was there when we got there. He was Very kind and helpful awesome fella.I feel like our camp site was miss represented though we were pretty upset that the picture didn't show how in the middle of everything it was, I admit to not looking over the map accurately and not noticing the restroom was like 20ft away. But it shouldn't even really be a camp option cause its basically like the center of attention (not what your looking for camping) , that being said and the constant roar of never ending RVs.We quickly decided to just try to ignore these things so doing that it was a nice time.I still believe that a resident should get a discount, and maybe like just 1 area should be dedicated to the tortuous RV Glamper. The host that was there later barked at my husband a bit for parking on the grass a bit (even we saw people that 4-5 cars parked in 1 area where they were all over the grass) we had our there cause we let our kids sleep in the van for fun and I wanted to hear them better if they needed anything. But we moved it and it ended up okay (though Terry said nothing about our parking).Either way it was better than last year at Priest Lake were they were Rude, uppity, and harassing , and the camps sites where over crowded and way to much money for what they were.

The campsites were a little on the primitive side. The tent pad was not ready to be used so the camp host had to come and weed-eat an area for us to put our tent down. Other than that everything was great. It was a little bit loud after 10 p.m. and I'm not sure that the camp hosts were very assertive in asking people to be quiet.
