The location was good, but not overlooking the lake as the pictures showed. We enjoyed the campground itself, though the tent sized spaces were not very large (even for a two person tent) or flat. My daughters ended up squished into the corner of their tent in one location and then slept on roots in another due to wasps. Some nearby campers were quite loud from 2-4am which didnt provide very good sleep, but I suppose that happens. Overall, a nice space, it could be great if the tent sights were improved.

Campsites were fine, but there is NO beach access as stated on the website.

We made our reservation on line for a 35 foot fifth wheel. The grade stated slight but in fact in order to level our RV front to back we would have needed to raise the front at least five feet. Not smart, not safe. The descriptions of the sights are extremely misleading and false.

This was the cutest, small, secluded campground! The camp host was probably the funniest, and best Ive encountered. I truly appreciate him making a solo mom feel comfortable! I wanted to cancel the rest of our trip and just hang out with his dog Thanks again for saving me when I got lost -Jolene

We enjoyed the time at the Mokins Campground. It was quiet camp spot.

The bathrooms were well maintained for what they are. The campsites were very spacious and allowed an isolated feel. there was no perfectly level area in our site for a tent but not too steep. The camp host was polite. There was a running water tap near one of the restrooms. There was no easy lake water access. One can walk to the lake within about 15 minutes, but there are no beaches suitable for kids.

It's quiet little campground is a hidden gem. Not many people know it's here so it's often less populated, allowing for a better experience. The camp host was friendly and respectful. The sites are spacious, clean, and allow you to put hammocks in the trees.

The campsite was amazing, only one negative. The site was near a public firepit, lookout and horseshoe area that people were at frequently and till late at night.The quite hours were not envorced by host and teens and adults were being loud.

One of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. Sites are large and private, water is excellent, and reasonably close to Silverwood. Highly recommend.

Really nice campground! Very beautiful, and the grounds are well-maintained. The location is remote enough to be quiet, and still pretty accessible.

This campground is on a winding narrow road that takes about 30 minutes to navigate it's 15 mile run. Hayden Lake is over run with housing which makes traveling the road even more of a challenge. If you are not planning to travel to and from the campground it would be fine but if you want to travel in and out you better plan on almost an hour to go in and out of the 15 mile stretch.

Campground is small which was great for our kids to ride their bikes around the loop. Host kept it clean and campsites are very shaded. My only issue is that there’s no direct access to the lake from the campground. Even though it’s directly across the road from the lake the only public swimming hole is on the other side of the lake (25 min drive). You could probably launch a kayak or paddle board from the spot in front of the campground

Swimming access is 12 miles down the road....nothing close unless you're putting in for kayaking.

Not on the bay really. We only stayed one night due to travel issues. The lake is very pretty but too many people around it.

It was a nice area. However, I would not recommend taking a trailer or RV longer than 26 feet. The road is well maintained but it is one switchback after another constantly until you get there. I had a 32 foot trailer and going down, had to take both lanes to navigate the turns as the drop offs are steep on the right side. It was very quiet & peaceful & the host kept the bathrooms very clean.

We only stayed for one night. Arrived a bit later than check in time but was quickly helped to find our spot. Clean campground, tucked away and close to beautiful views of Hayden Lake. Will definitely come back.

Just a nice average campground. Had a good spot that fit our 28 foot trailer. Clean, garbage close by. Quiet.
One heck of a dive to get to campground. Not for faint of heart. Narrow windy road.
That is why an average rating.
No hook ups.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
