The bathrooms were clean, it was a nice location. If using site 19, the very end one, I recommend a very small camp trailer or just a tent, as the site is pointed the opposite direction and you have a hard turn pulling in and out, unless you go the wrong way through the campground.

22 minutes from Coeur D'Alene, 2 minutes from Mineral Ridge trailhead, 15 minutes to Blue Creek Bay public fishing/day use dock. Only 19 sites, first 7 are open in a field. The pit toilets are the cleanest we've ever seen. Only potable water is from a hand pump - which is a fun, unique experience, if you have two people to fill up water bottles. Unfortunately the logging trucks are loud, and you can hear road noise. We stayed in the last site, #19, which was more secluded. A few yellow jackets and mosquitos, but not too bad. We parked in a gravel lot on side of 97 near Wolf Bay, and then paddle boarded under 97 into Wolf bay and explored between the cat-tails. There is no public access to Beauty Bay, which is disappointing. Mineral ridge was a steady climb with a spectacular view. 5 people fishing at Blue Creek Bay, off of California trail, when we paddle boarded in the evening. We had a great stay, but camp ground was not very clean as there were broken glass and trash around fire pit and table. we used our own amenities. Great hiking close by

It was very quiet - nature sounds only. Our site was spacious and lovely and level. There were no amenities except clean pit toilets, and water far away. We had a enjoyable one night stay in June 2023. There is a lovely road for a nice walk anytime of day. The creek was dry, but the lake is gorgeous.

We stayed in spot 019 for one night as we passed through, it was super private spot which we loved. The dry creek was great for walking the dogs. Overall it was perfect for our needs but the mosquitoes were no joke.

This campground is mis-named: It is not beautiful and the "creek" is a dry creek-bed strewn with boulders and debris and unnavigable even for walking in or along. My campsite had absolutely no shade and the environment was so bleak that I went on driving, didn't even spend the night I had reserved. The FS road into it was a mess of very deep potholes and I was very happy that there was only a mile of it to traverse with my minimalist teardrop trailer lacking shocks and leaf springs. What a disappointment!

The description of the campground was not up to date. The creek doesn't flow in the summer time at all and has not for years. The only source of water was one hand pump for the entire campground. It appeared they had another but it was disconnected and not working.
I will say the camp hosts were awesome, friendly and helpful. The vault toilets' were clean and well kept. The campground was quiet and peaceful, with each site having ample room and privacy.

Spacious and private site. No mosquitos. Amazing camp host. There's a place nearby you can park and get into the lake if you want, shallow enough for young kids.

Friendly host and situated in a good area, however the campground is just one big field with everyone sharing the same open space. If you are camping on your car (e.g. car-top tent), you get to camp in the parking. Pictures don't reflect actual campground space. It's clean, lovely, but just not what we were looking for. Two stars due to somewhat misleading pictures (none show the actual camping area).
