My wife and I really enjoy camping at Manistee.

The DNR people were very kind and even gave us extra firewood. The real issue is the Raccoons. They ripped massive holes in my tent eve though we had no food and they would walk up to us and growl like they were going to attack one of my friends had to pepper spray it to go away. You could hear them fighting each other in the dumpsters as well.

The site was perfect! Plenty of space and we felt like we were in the woods by ourselves. Only took off 1 star because there wasnt any ice the 4 days we were there. This was a pain because we had to leave to go get ice. The camp hosts were amazing though!

Giant site, nice campground, loved this place. Perfect to go hike around the Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness and spend some time on the beach.

Nice beach and its a close walk to the campground. A little creek runs out onto the beach so our kids enjoyed playing in the creek. The campground was clean and quiet. The sites are well-spaced and private. Beautiful setting. Are kids like to bike, so they're were some nice trails and paths.

We love this campground! The sites are a great size and are shaded by trees. The easy access to the beach plus the fact that dogs are permitted on a portion of the beach make this a great spot for a family vacation.
