The campsite and facilities were immaculate. The campground host was courteous.

We arrived at three and the campsite was occupied. The people did leave after being told we had reservations. The site was not clean. There was a lot of debris in general, plastic and foam cups in the fire pit, and the ashes were not cleaned out of both the fire pit and barbecue. Toilet paper was not refilled in the restroom for two days. Normally lack of toilet paper is not a problem, but coupled with the dirty campsite, it gave the impression the campground personnel dont care, or lack the skills, to properly manage and care for a large campground. There is little privacy with the sites being closely spaced. We could hear the conversations of our neighbors. On the plus side, despite being a somewhat noisy campground the campers did comply with the quiet hours. The chipmunks are a problem. One nipped me on the foot as I was relaxing. It didnt break the skin but nevertheless was alarming as they are not afraid of humans and normally are.On the plus side, the location is close to recreational hiking trails and lots of picnic sites. Wild horses can be observed within walking distance at Lee Meadows. Lots of birds were present as well.

My wife and I had a great time. Camp site and bathrooms were clean. It was very relaxing and it was nice that we did not have cell phone service. The on-site water was very convenient.
