It was such a peaceful time. We forgot our handheld radios to coordinate backing up our 27 trailer. This is helpful since there is NO CELL SERVICE but the fortunately the space was wide enough and long enough that this wasnt an issue. We loved it there so much we hope to visit again.

Just an hour from Vegas. This place was done right when the USFS redid it. Parking is paved and level, sites have a table, grill and propane grill stand. Our campsite was at 8550' and had a wonderful view of the Spring Mtns.

Nice campground, beautiful location - though the tent pads are a little hard. I bent four stakes trying to get my tent secure. Would definitely recommend you have extras on hand, or use more heavy duty stakes. Restrooms were clean. This was in the offseason, so it was extremely quiet; I can't speak to what it might be like in the summer when the campground is full. Would definitely go back again.

We live in Henderson, NV, about 60 miles from McWilliams Campground. We camped there most recently in mid-September, so most of the summer campers are gone and there are plenty of sites available from Sunday through Thursday. All of the campsites are paved and most are level. All of the campsites have a nice area for a tent. Our campsite was more than adequate for our 33 foot long RV. There was water nearby. The restrooms all have flush toilets and running water. About the only issue we had was the lack of lights in the restrooms at night. Its impossible to see anything in them after dark. Our campsite was very quiet and well away from other campsites. This campground is at 8500 feet in elevation and although the campsites are level, the campground itself is very hilly and walking around the campground is an excellent form of exercise.

We love this campground! Lots of space and able to accommodate larger trailers. The spaces are relatively easy to back in our 37 ft travel trailer and there is enough space between sites to where you dont feel like you are camping on top of one another. I love that we can drive out of Vegas 45 minutes and feel like we are hours away! There are many hiking trails nearby and its pet friendly. They offer reservations on the odd numbered sites and is highly recommended during summer months!

We have been camping at McWilliams Campground for at least 15 years or more. We enjoy camping at McWilliams; it is cooler in the summer by 20 degrees and peaceful to be among nature and other experienced campers. We enjoy McWilliams and book a space at least 4 times a year. A few years ago, we were asked for our opinions on what should be revamped when the state decided to renovate the campground. The reconstruction of the sites and bathrooms have certainly improved the campground. It would be helpful to newer campers if there were instructions on how to use the water pumps properly so people would stop braking them. Only a few times we experienced the disappointment of not having access to water. And, the tent campers had to leave because there was no access to toilets. We have one complaint. It is disappointing the best spaces (even numbers) cannot be reserved; they are first-come, first-serve. We have no option but to reserve odd-numbered spaces because it is inconvenient to have to go home when the campground is full. We would like to be able to reserve even spaces, too. Perhaps, every other year you can switch the even and odd to reserve. The camphost is awesome and he does a great job monitoring and making sure the campgrounds are clean for the next guests. We enjoy seeing the rangers monitoring the campground and feel a great sense of protection. Thank you for McWilliams Campground!
