Quite a few squatters occupying the empty sites. This made me feel uneasy that such campers exist in the camp grounds. I noticed there are people waiting for the Park Ranger to complete rounds in the afternoon and move in, and occupy the vacant sites without paying. Since there is no Camp Host, nobody checks on peoples reservations after the Ranger takes off.

Great campsite with beautiful views and plenty of space to move around.

Cons: We had lot 001 and while the grill was cleaned out and so was the lot, the fire pit had ashes left which caused us to have to empty it out or deal with smoke. There were also some dog waste bags tossed about our site from previous visitors. The people in lot 002 had two dogs that where constantly barking during the day, but at least at night they were quiet.

Pros: Out lot had a little of view of the city lights which was a welcoming site. The tent site was clean and flat. The cooking grill was clean. We had reserved our lot, so when we arrived there was a cone at our parking spot and our name under the reserve sign post. It was quiet for the most part and there were large trash cans near by for left over trash or unwanted property after a nice weekend stay.

Some creature did take my chocolate mug...I'm guessing a mountain lion as smaller animals could not place their paws or jaw around the large mug I left on the bench by the fire while we watched a movie inside my tent (while keeping a view on the fire at night for 2 hours)? Be safe!

I love this campground, and site #1 is perfect for me.
I felt bad because I was supposed to be there 48 hours, but 24 hours in an abrupt and big storm came in and I had to pull up camp fast. I had collected up a little trash that was there (surrounding wooded area) when I arrived but wasn't able to bag it, so I left it behind :( Sorry about that.
This campground is clean, well planned and a thorough pleasure. Thank you!
