Tipsaw Lake Campground is located in the Tell City Ranger District, Hoosier National Forest (1 hr 6 min northeast of Owensboro, KY) with an elevation of 518 feet. There are a total of 47 campsites including 2 tent-only sites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of April to the end of October. 43 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 20 and 102 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 11 sites have electric and water hookups. 22 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $21.00 to $70.00. Some amenities include shower, swimming, flush toilets. Activities include biking, boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

Tipsaw Lake campground is a beautiful place to camp. The camp hosts were friendly and informative, we will camp there again.

The grass needed to be cut, and the dock wasn't in the water yet and the park was closed, still had a good time lots of trails to walk and very quiet.

Well its across the street from a prison so thats unsettling. Tried to take a shower at all the bathhouses and either the water didnt work or it wouldnt get hot. No dump station found. Even though ones listed on map. We looked everywhere and drove around searching as well. So had to come home with full tanks

We loved our stay here. It was the final weekend and we had the entire loop to ourselves. The camp host was so kind to our kids. They had so much space to run around and enjoy nature. We will be back!

park and facilities were nice and clean. we had a great time. my only complaint was when my children came for a visit everyone had to pay to get in. thought that was a little extreme .

Really nice campground! Very clean bath house, nice wooded sites, well-maintained. Our site was right across from the bath house, and while convenient, we probably wouldn't choose this particular one again due to the bright lights at night and the noise of people coming and going (not that bad, really, we just like it nice and quiet). The 6-mile trail around the lake was a nice walk and easier than expected (parts of the trail aren't very well-worn, so some of it requires attention to trail markers, but it's pretty flat and mostly easy-going). Hemlock Cliffs, a few miles north, was a beautiful hike! No paper trail maps were available and cell service (T-Mobile) was spotty at best. I considered docking a star because there really should be easier access to maps (I had trouble finding any online before getting there, and wrongly assumed I could get a map once there) but that's maybe more of a Hoosier National Forest issue than a campground issue specifically. Overall, would return to camp here!

We loved the weekend in the private group site. Perfect for a group of people camping together. We were able to close the gate and let the kids ride their scooters without worrying about cars coming through. Sites and bathroom were very clean.

Wow a gem of a find for well maintained campsites and restroom/shower facilities. Camp hosts were very helpful. The lake trail is well defined and marked.

This site was small, but still fit our 6 person tent on the gravel. There is a perfect spot to hang a hammock. The beach to the lake had newer sand and was very pleasant. I'm excited to return to do the trail that loops the lake, and to kayak on the lake. There was no campers close to us so it was very peaceful.

This campground was great as usual - We had spot 8 near the bathhouse - write up said full shade but it was only partial shade and mostly sun but the site was semi level - ATT was no existent - The site did have water and electric. Camphost was friendly -
