Wonderful spot. The road in is very rutted. The sites are large and great

worst potholed access road we've seen in 8 years of traveling for 3-4 months a year. Camp host was very nice, campsite was fine, but again the access road needs some massive pothole filling. We cannot recommend this campground for that reason

This was a nice campground close to Munising and Pictured Rocks with access to the lake. Our spot was very private, surrounded by trees. It was clean, has a dump station.

We loved our stay at site 4 in this campground. Our site had the most privacy of any site and we could not see our neighbors. I will note that this is a pretty small site and we had to set our tent up in the driveway/parking area to find a large enough level area. Nicely made paths intersect throughout the campground to lead you to multiple drinking water spots and vault restrooms. I did wish, in this era of Covid, that there were hand sanitizer stations in the restrooms.
The campground has a beautiful shoreline area with awesome views of the bay and a huge picnic area along the water. The actual historic site was cool too and the picnic table and stone stairs going down to the water were very postcard-worthy. This is my second time at this campground and it has a great variety of spots, a prime waterfront, and a close location to all the Munising sites. There is also a gas station right across the road with any necessities you might have forgotten and firewood for sale. I highly recommend it.

Bay Furnace is a beautiful campground and we really enjoyed our time there, much more than Camp Seven Lake last summer. Our camp hosts Jill and Darrin were super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed Jill’s company very much as we crossed paths with her several times. The bathrooms were kept clean. The campsites were tidy. The scenery is breathtaking and the other campers were all friendly and respectful. We had our two teenage sons with us and two of their friends and they all thoroughly enjoyed the beach and how clean and clear the water was. We will definitely be back next year!
Great location, quiet campground with nicely spaces sites and lots of trees. Bathrooms were very clean and we'll maintained. Close to hiking trails and waterfalls.

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
