Quiet, clean and well maintained campground. We especially like the availability of water and electric hookups for small RVs

Really nice campground that's on the Foothills Parkway. Just minutes from sweeping overlooks of the Smokies and the Tennessee River Valley.

Nice quiet campground, but it is far off the beaten path. That worked for me.

We loved our stay at this campground! The sites are great, there's plenty of privacy, and you're in the middle of the woods! Clean facility for restrooms and the campground is very well maintained. Only draw back (reason for 4 stars) is no shower house. This amenity would be a great addition!

The park is set up weird , you have to make a complete loop to get back to the dump station then drive around again to leave the park . A lot of the sites are very small and they are 90 degrees from the road , that makes it harder to back into with the narrow road . Nice park beautiful scenery just needs some upgrades

Look Rock campground is lovely & clean. It was recently reopened after several years of closure. The sites are nicely paved and very scenic. There are only a few with both elec & water. There are only 2 or 3 long enough to fit anything over 30. Wi-fi is accessible at the campground entrance. We were there mid-August but a dry front had blown through so weather was great! This campground is alongside the Foothills Pkwy so you hear the motorcycles and cars passing by. We were gone from morning to evening so that didnt bother us much. I would definitely stay here again.

The campground as a whole seems nicely redone. It was closed for almost a decade, so it's nice to see it open again. Our main issue was nothing the campground itself did wrong, but moreso that it seems to cater to the type of camping that we aren't really interested in. We usually try to find dispersed camping in the National Forest system as opposed to the more crowded/commercialized campgrounds in the National Parks. Look Rock Campground definitely falls into the latter category. Sitting along the pretty heavily traveled (at least during Summer holidays) Foothills Parkway doesn't help with the solitude, and the majority of sites are close enough together that it's pretty apparent the design was intended for people to sort of just park their RV or travel trailer and then disappear inside for the duration. Not a lot of "camping" ambience to be had. I suppose this isn't exactly a bad thing, but it's just not for us. That said, if you're looking for a nicely maintained National Park campground with electric, water, and some of the best parking spaces for your summer house on wheels, this might be right up your alley. Also, fair warning, Site 43 doesn't have a tent pad, nor does it have any sort of reasonable way to utilize your aforementioned RV, or even a small trailer. It's essentially two parking spaces, situated side-by-side. There wasn't enough space to park our little 12 ft offroad trailer and our Grand Cherokee without unhooking and parking next to each other. Just a heads up for the next person.

After ten years of disuse, the newly paved road is nice. The Park missed a chance to remake the camp grounds into something really good and up to date. We enjoyed the quiet. Traveled every day to somewhere else to see and experience the Smokies. Nothing at the campgrounds.Way too much poison ivy, everywhere! Trial to tower unwalkable, Poison Ivy around the tower is dangerous, campsites surrounded by poison ivy. Really have to watch children. No playground for kids.
