camp ground is nice and quiet. The site was semiprivate, had a camp set us beside us - but with the stream and the fire pit on the far side of the site it was very nice. The bathroom was kept very clean. We got to see a bear which was great! We have been camping in Elkmont for 30 years - it is our favorite camping spot.

Good camping location with short or long hikes right out of the campground, and nice flat tent sites. Centrally located with short drives to other trailheads and visitor center. Relatively quiet except for the relaxing sound of Jakes Creek to lull you to sleep. Something that could use improvement is the bathroom building. The dishwashing station is cramped and unlit. Both it and the bathrooms have no hot water(Brrr) but the staff does keep the stainless bathroom sink counter clean. Only one toilet! - really hard to get your turn on the pot when the campground is full. If you cant live without internet, dont camp here -at least with Verizon, no coverage.

Amazing campground with clean flowing water right through. It did rain suddenly and hard, but ended after a short while. Wonderful time.

The campsite was the closest to Jakes Creek and Little River Trail as well as Daisy Town. The synchronous fireflies also made an appearance right at my tent door.

I did not realize the bathrooms were out of order. The water treatment project must have started after I made my reservation. We had to waste the first day of our vacation relocating and forfeit our fees.

Online we reserved the last available spot for the night, which turned out was up a sharp incline. We would have loved to take one of the sites not used that night that were level as we sleep in our van. Perhaps the reservations only practice hampers finding a spot that is a good fit. The site was lovely, with plenty of space to be socially distanced and feel like we were out in nature. We loved the lullaby of the mountain stream. The bathroom was not clean evening or morning and had no fan running for air circulation like we experienced at other bathrooms in three other campgrounds in the park. We wish there was more attention to the needs of this time.We also would suggest that registration hours are too short. Not everyone can be in before 5:00 PM.
