We enjoyed the quiet campsite and beautiful scenery the Smokies is known for. Easy access to several hiking trails is a plus.

Bathrooms very dirty for 5 days we were there. Not cleaned by a crew until 5th day. Fire pit full of trash and filled to the rim with ashes. Had to clean it out ourselves before building a fire that was safe. No mowing or weedeating had been done. A total snake pit!!Park pass money should be going to maintenance crew to keep the campground and bathrooms clean.

One of the best vacation experiences ever! Background noise of a river echos throughout the whole campground. Simply an amazing experience. If you are wanting to drop your cellphone this is also the place to go. No reception at all

The campground host came by L9 and surrounding sites several times each day - to the point of bullying and harassment. He made issues such as my two vehicles were not allowed on the site because my trailer camper was also a vehicle. He said one of the vehicles needed to be removed. Then he would return and point out that all the tires needed to be on asphalt, the site had gravel in conjunction with the asphalt he said not good enough. Then he said my sealed 16oz water bottle could not be on table. Another time he took ice cooler when we used restroom, and we came back to see that he loaded it up on his cart. Part of my group left early due to the continuous surveillance. He parked his cart to watch me back into the campsite. I was relieved to find out that he was treating other campers similarly. Other campers said they came annually and were never treated like this. They departed early and their site was empty. I had felt he was stalking us. I have camped at Elkmont before and did not have such a disagreeable experience.

Large campground and centrally located
The sites were decently sized and spaced but had little privacy vegetation separating sites. All the bathroom buildings were closed with Porta-potties throughout campground. The host was friendly and kept up with posting reserve signs and checking in with campers.

Enjoyed! Will go back again! Restrooms were closed, but portables are fine. The traffic at the junction 441 and Fighting Creek Road were bad and that affect the traffic to or from the campground. A traffic light would improve the issue. Thanks.

We stayed at G19 from July 1-9. We had a more than perfect experience. The portapotties we’re clean and changed/cleaned every other day. The staff was more than accommodating. There was one night someone was a bit too loud but they must have been told to quiet down because they stopped very soon after. I’ve been camping there since I was 3, now I’m 25 and get to bring my own family. Cannot wait for next years trip!

Very well kept camp ground. Lots of spots, but theres a decent amount of space between spots.
