We absolutely loved our stay at Elkmont Campground in the Great Smoky Mountains. Our campsite was perfect right along the beautiful creek, which made for a peaceful and relaxing setting. The staff at check-in were friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the area. We also really enjoyed exploring the historic town of Elkmont, just a short walk from the campground. Its such a charming and unique place to visit. We cant wait to come back and stay here again!

We were able to find campsites even over Memorial Day weekend, the rangers were kind and super helpful Kids had a blast playing the the little river and we and so much fun

Beautiful place. Nice level spot for tents. But the bathrooms could be a lot better.

Camp personnel and volunteers were all great. But bathrooms stank all week and grass hadn’t been mowed for weeks. Several campers had loud generators running. The camp store isn’t open on evenings when it is most needed and doesn’t have the options it has in previous years and prices have gone way up.
Again all staff was great. The Daisytown historical tour was very good. It just seems that the campground is understaffed.

Elkmont is a beautiful campground with very friendly and helpful Rangers. There are even a few hikes you can take right from the campground.

this campground allows too much drive through traffic that are not campers sometimes felt unsafe!! The one way traffic pattern was violated many times. I did not feel safe leaving my things out at my campsite. The bathrooms are horrible especially in the J section!! The bear proof doors on the dumpsters no longer work in the J section, they were stuck open and never closed properly without slamming and making horrible noise. The camp store hours were much too short. As far as location could not be beat As far as location could not be beat!!

Beautiful campground. Our site was right next to the river. Very pretty. Spaced out enough from other campers, and wonderful fall colors! Several trails and nice walks in the surrounding areas, and very convenient spot within the park. This was our third time staying at Elkmont, and I'm sure we will be back again.

Elk mount is a beautiful campground. Each site is space very well that provides plenty of room. Make sure you bring a hammock as there are plenty of hanging spots next to the creek.

We were blown away with how clean, gorgeous, safe and great our experience was at this campgrounds. We plan to make this a regular camping destination.

Very good experience and the site was excellent. I hiked the entire campground and the sites are well spaced meaning you have plenty of room. Very near two trailheads (Little River and Jakes Creek) plus the old Elkmont area has plenty to see if you want to "loop the campground" on foot. My only gripe is the bathroom doors need a sign asking patrons to NOT allow the door to slam - very annoying to be awakened at 1:00 AM to a sound of a door slamming.

Absolutely gorgeous campground. It used to be one of our favorite spots in the Smokies, but I dont think well be back. During our last visit, a few RVs had TVs set up outside and were blaring football games all weekend for the entire campground to hear. I dont know about you, but I camp in the mountains to get away from all that. It was very frustrating.

We Love Elkmont. It is our favorite place. Been coming here since I was a little child. Lots of wildlife. This last trip we saw a owl, copperhead, lots of butterflies and bugs, frogs, fish, turtles and deer. Once when I was a child we saw a black bear there in the campgrounds. Very close to alot of family friendly hikes. FYI..There is no cell service. Just what mother nature ordered. ,)
