We had a VERY good weekend! Camping by the beautiful clean stream was so relaxing. The staff helped us choose both hikes we went on. Strolling through the Daisy village and walking through the old homes was special. The campground was clean. Wish all the bathrooms were open but understandable. We will be back!

Amazing nature, well maintained campsites and facilities. The staff was super nice and gave us a lot of recommendations what to do around. Great trails. RV and Tent sites are amazing.

Elkmont Campground was a very nice experience. It was quiet and very pleasant! I was at Cades Cove earlier in the week. I left that campground early , due to the amount of noise there. The grounds crew comes in at 5:50 am with zero regard to campers. They come in with radios wide open , and stand around visiting for a pint an hour. Then start mowers up around 7. That place is a joke as far as campgrounds.

Beautiful large site by river. Only problem was a really loud 3500W Generac genetic at 5PM which bothered everyone in nearby sites

We had site H05 right by the water. It was beautiful and serene. There was a near constant droning from something all night and all day. Toilets were clean but had tons of graffiti. Loved our stay for the most part. Our neighbors were all courteous and knowledgable and helpful! Thanks Rich and Mike! You made our stay!

We tent camped at site H-5 for two nights and loved it. The river provided peaceful background noise and overall the campground was very lovely and quiet.

Elkmont is just one of a kind! We had such a lovely time with our family. H05 is a great site!

Beautiful campground but a little disappointed to arrive and find only portable toilets and all the bathrooms closed. It wouldn’t have changed us staying there, but there was no mention of this anywhere on the website or booking confirmations. I just think that this is something that should have been disclosed during the booking process.

We love camping at Elkmont - it's affordable, clean, lots of shaded sites near water, and convenient to trails and town. The staff is professional and friendly. We'll continue to return and recommend Elkmont to family & friends.

We had a great weekend at Elkmont in September! Went to Cades Cove on Day, saw a mama bear and two cubs, and later on another bear. We hiked Abrams Falls, it was a gorgeous hike, although pretty busy even on a Friday. Saturday we hiked Alum Cave Bluffs, it was fantastic! But go early because there was no parking at all and we had to walk a ways. Sunday we did Clingmans Dome which was an easy 1 mile uphill to some amazing views. We love the smokies and will definitely camp at Elkmont again.

I always try to secure a site beside the river in Elkmont. I love to sit there in the mornings and drink my first cup of coffee - and the wound of the rushing water is very soothing when bedtime comes. The sites are large and most are in the woods - which offers great shade in the summer. Solar panels do not work well at all. The many trails, rivers for fly fishing offer serenity and a very peaceful experience.
